Congo Airways has announced the suspension of its flights as of September 11, 2023. This decision comes as the airline aims to prioritize passenger safety and adhere to international aviation standards set by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) and their IOSA certifications.
Congo Airways released an official statement, expressing their commitment to passenger safety and their intent to reorganize their operational tools to meet IATA standards. The airline stated that this temporary suspension of operations is a necessary step to enhance the efficiency of the national carrier’s services in the near future.
Furthermore, Congo Airways expressed its gratitude to President Félix Tshisekedi for his prompt action in instructing government members during the 111th meeting of the Council of Ministers to urgently allocate funds for the maintenance of Congo Airways’ flight operations.
