Jenifer Bamuturaki, who has been the Uganda Airlines acting CEO since the departure of Cornwell Muleya has now been appointed substantive CEO.
The news follows a letter from the country’s ministry of transport to the new board chairperson acting on a directive from the head of state.
Jenifer Bamuturaki who previously served the airline as commercial director will hope the airline’s leadership finally achieves stability after taking on a role that has now been held by 3 different executives in 3 years.
Uganda airlines started operations in 2019 and currently has a fleet of 6 aircraft including 4 Mitsubishi CRJ-900s and 2 Airbus A330s.
The national airline flies to 11 destinations in 9 countries.
