Kenya Airways on Monday announced it has cancelled its scheduled return to Italy and will as well be suspending its ongoing passengers flights to Cameroon after witnessing a decline in passenger load.
The national carrier had earlier planned to fully resume flights to Northern Italy this coming June but has since noted in a statement that “the postponement is in light of reduced passenger demand as a result of slower than expected recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic.”
However, Kenya Airways will still serve Italy through other European destinations such as London and Amsterdam, by connecting to other partner airlines such as Air France-KLM and Italia Transporto Aereo.
The carrier’s initial schedule was to fly twice to Italy on Wednesdays and Sundays.
The SkyTeam Alliance member has ramped up flights to London from five currently to daily.
