Airlink has introduced a striking new addition to its fleet. This distinctive livery, unveiled in the morning of (July 12) during a test flight at O.R. Tambo International Airport, serves as a visual representation of Airlink’s commitment to providing top-class service and its recently launched Skybucks customer loyalty program.
The newly introduced E195 aircraft features a distinctive jet-black livery, adding a touch of glamour and style to the skies. Moreover, this remarkable aircraft supports Airlink’s recently launched Skybucks customer loyalty program.
Airlink CEO and Managing Director, Rodger Foster, expressed the airline’s commitment to restoring the ‘allure of flying’ by noting, “Some say flying has lost its allure, but as Southern Africa’s premier airline, Airlink is putting glamour and style back in the skies. In addition to our top-class service provided by our friendly crew in their stylish new uniforms, we have dressed one of our svelte Embraer E-Jets in an elegant and chic little black number,” he says.
Expanding Fleet
With this latest addition, Airlink has already taken delivery of two E195 out of the expected three aircraft under leasing agreement with AerCap with the first delivered in March. The remaining aircraft is scheduled to join the airline’s fleet later this month.
The first E195 aircraft in Airlink’s latest acquisition was initially manufactured in 2007 and delivered to Royal Jordanian. It has since served in the fleets of BoraJet and Ukraine International Airlines before finding its new home with Airlink.
Airlink’s fleet is predominantly comprised of Embraer aircraft, including the E135, E140, E170, E190, and now, the E195. The introduction of the leased Embraer E195 aircraft further solidifies Airlink’s position as the leading independent regional airline in Southern Africa.
The elegantly adorned E195 aircraft acts as a promotional tool for the airline’s Skybucks customer loyalty program. Skybucks, launched recently, offers exclusive benefits to Airlink’s most loyal high-flyers. The jet-black livery of the E195 represents the pinnacle Skybucks tier, reserved for this select group of passengers.
