Africa’s leading carrier Ethiopian Airlines is set to reintroduce regular flights to Medina, marking its fourth destination in Saudi Arabia and the twelfth across the Middle East. Dammam, Jeddah, and Riyadh are the other three.
After a temporary halt in mid-2020, the airline is now poised to reconnect passengers between Addis Ababa and Medina, catering primarily to Umrah pilgrims. The renewed service, scheduled to commence from August 2, 2023, will operate four times a week, utilizing Boeing 737-800 aircraft.
The Addis Ababa-Medina route will be operated by Ethiopian Airlines as flight ET442, departing Addis Ababa at 23:20 and arriving in Medina at 02:50 the following day. The return flight, ET443, will depart Medina at 03:55 and land in Addis Ababa at 07:25. The flights will be available four days a week, ensuring flexibility and convenience for travelers.
