Air Mauritius has recently announced that it has appointed APG, an international firm with more than a hundred offices in over one hundred and seventy countries, as its General Sales Agent (GSA) to market its services in Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Greece, Luxemburg, The Netherlands, Portugal, and Spain. The partnership is expected to help the airline increase its sales and generate additional tourism from these markets, which will aid in achieving its objective of aiding Mauritius in reaching its target of 1.4 million visitors by the end of this year.
According to Air Mauritius, APG has the resources and proficiency to effectively enhance Air Mauritius’ international representation, marketing, and communication capabilities, and this strategic appointment will play a crucial role in facilitating the airline’s expansion efforts, particularly with the introduction of new operations in Europe. Currently, APG represents Air Mauritius in major markets such as the USA, Canada, Italy, Switzerland, and Germany.
From October 2023, Air Mauritius will commence operations of two weekly flights to Geneva while also increasing its frequencies to London with a daily flight to Gatwick Airport starting on October 29, 2023. These new operations are expected to be facilitated by the partnership with APG.
Krešimir Kučko, the CEO of Air Mauritius, stated that the company views this partnership as an optimal means of augmenting its network of distinguished sales agents, which will bolster Air Mauritius’ sales.
“Aligned with our objective to aid Mauritius in attaining its target of 1.4 million visitors by the end of this year, we view this initiative as an optimal means of augmenting our network of distinguished sales agents by collaborating with APG, which we believe will bolster Air Mauritius’ sales,” Kučko said.
Meanwhile, Sandrine de Saint Sauveur, the CEO of APG Inc, expressed her delight at strengthening their partnership with Air Mauritius to offer the best services.
This new partnership represents a significant opportunity for Air Mauritius to strengthen its global presence and expand sales in critical markets, and it is expected to generate significant benefits for both Air Mauritius and APG.
