Passengers injured during turbulent TAAG Angola Airlines flight to Lisbon

On March 23, an incident occurred involving a TAAG Angola Airlines Airbus A330-343 aircraft while flying from Luanda to Lisbon, causing 10 injuries due to adverse weather conditions. The aircraft, with the registration number 9H-HFA, was built in 2017.

Footage captured on the flight shows the aftermath of the turbulence, with meals, trays, and plastic cutlery littering the aisles. Food and drink stains can be seen throughout the cabin, including on the cracked and perforated ceiling panels.

The media in Portugal reported that at least ten people, including two crew members, were injured on the Hi Fly flight operated by TAAG Angola Airlines. Eight passengers required medical assistance, with a doctor on board assisting one of the injured, according to multiple reports.

The incident highlights the importance of airline passengers and crew members following safety guidelines and wearing seat belts during a flight. While turbulence is a common occurrence during air travel, severe turbulence can be dangerous and cause injuries.
