Nigeria has viewed a good deal of airline startups recently, while nothing at all like this.
Valuejet is a new startup airline in Nigeria that hopes to begin commercial ops next week.
ValueJet was established in 2018 as a commercial and charter service provider, to develop into a “global airline” that “connects people and places through modern air travel.”
On September 21, 2022, the airline satisfied the requirements of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) and was granted an Air Operators Certificate by the Director General of the NCAA, Captain Musa Nuhu.
But it receives additional intriguing than that. As announced on its social media pages, anyone who buys a round-trip ticket between October 4 and October 9 will receive their first journey for free, a rather daring marketing strategy.
According to the airline’s website, this option is only available to travelers who reserve a ticket for travel between October 10, 2022, and November 9, 2022.
“Our objective is to revolutionize air travel with our unique value offer of safety, comfort, convenience, experience, and good value for money,” Valuejet chairman Adekunle Soname said as reported by Businessday.
From its supposed hub in Lagos, Valujet will begin domestic round trips to Abuja, Asaba, and Port Harcourt.
ValueJet domestic services will be backed by an all-Bombardier CRJ 900 fleet of three aircraft. Its latest CRJ 900, registered 5N-BXR was delivered to the airline in early September 2022.
