IATA has announced that Sudan’s Badr Airlines has become its newest member effective March 1.
Based in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, Badr Airlines operates cargo and passenger flights including humanitarian aid missions, and chartered VIP flights.
It is privately owned and was fomerly known as Sarit airlines until 2004. Today the carrier operates a fleet of 14 aircraft with 11 of these wetleased and largely flown by other operators on behalf of Badr. The fleet is predominantly Boeing with 2 Ilyushin IL-76TDs.
