Kenya’s national carrier is undertaking a capacity increase by deploying a Boeing 737-800 aircraft to Mombasa from Nairobi in response to growing demand.
The aircraft will operate on 23rd, 24th, 30th and 31st October 2021 offering customers a maximum seat comfort and blissful leisure in bumpy free skies to travel.
“The deployment of the larger aircraft is because of high number of passengers on that route that we have witnessed since the Huduma Day weekend,” said KQ, as Reported by Business Daily.
This is an upgrade from the typical Embraer 190 aircraft that Kenya Airways normally uses on domestic services with a seating capacity of 12 on premiere and 84 on economy class while the Boeing 737-800 can carry up to 160 passengers.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft also offers a significantly larger cargo capacity, with more flexibility in transporting various types of consignments, compared to E190 aircraft.
In other news, Kenya Airways won two awards at the 2021 World Travel Awards including;
– Africa’s Leading Airline
– Africa’s Leading Airline – Business Class
