Madagascar Reopens Borders

The island nation of Madagascar has announced it will reopen borders to international travelers starting November 6 with Air Madagascar and Air France the key air transport enablers for intercontinental visitors

Regional flights between Madagascar and neighbouring Indian Ocean islands Mauritius and Reunion Island are scheduled to resume as of today 23 October 2021 via Air Madagascar and Air Austral respectively

Private jet flights to Madagascar will have to have a special authorisation from the President of the Republic and the Prime Minister.

International travelers will have a mandatory PCR test of 25 euros included in the air fare and will have to undergo quarantine for one to two days pending test results

If one’s test comes out negative, the traveler will have free movement on the island however, in the event of a positive result, they will be quarantined for another 14 days.
