Qatar Airways Increases Presence in Egypt, with new Route to Sharm El-Sheikh

 Qatar Airways has announced that it will launch a new service to Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt from Doha on December 3, 2021 with twice weekly flights, the new route will follow the resumption of operations to Luxor on November 23, 2021 with four weekly flights.

The resumption of operations to Luxor and launching of flights to Sharm El-Sheikh sees Qatar Airways now operate a total of 34 weekly flights to Egypt. The new services will be operated by an Airbus A320 aircraft, featuring 12 seats in First Class and 132 seats in Economy Class.

Luxor flights will now operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays (all times local) with flight QR1321 departing Doha (DOH) to Luxor (LXR) at 08:25 and arriving at 11:00. Return flights QR1322 will depart Luxor (LXR) for Doha (DOH) at 12:10 and will arrive at 16:05.

For the new Sharm El-Sheikh route, flights will operate on Tuesdays and Fridays (all times local) with flight QR1311 departing Doha (DOH) to Sharm El-Sheikh (SSH) at 09:00 and arriving at 10:45. Return flight QR1312 will depart Sharm El-Sheikh (SSH) to Doha (DOH) at 13:15 and arrives at 17:30.

In a further service expansion to Egypt, Qatar Airways has also increased its Cairo service starting from October 1, 2021, with the Doha based carrier now flying to the Egyptian capital triple daily.
