Air Botswana has announced it will re-start flights from its hub in Gaborone, connecting Harare, Zimbabwe and Lusaka, Zambia. The first of these flights is scheduled for today May 6.

The initial schedule will have 2 weekly flights on Fridays and Sundays with the airline planning to increase frequencies based on demand growth.

Air Botswana wil deploy its Embraer 170 to service the routes with the airline particularly timing its schedule to allow convenient connections to its Gaborone – Cape Town flights for the Lusaka and Harare passengers.

We are pleased about this development. It heralds that travel demand is gradually inceasing after the global paralysis brought about by the COVID 19 pandemic. We are optimistic that in due course, the desire to travel will be even stronger and have positioned ourselves to cope with the much anticipated travel demand both locally and internationally.” Said general manager Mrs. Agnes Khunwana
