Air Algérie, the largest public Algerian carrier, and ATR, the world’s leading regional aircraft manufacturer, jointly announced the inaugural Digital Maintenance Documentation package, marking a significant advancement in the airline’s maintenance operations for its fleet of 15 ATR aircraft.
In a pioneering move, ATR introduced a three-year digital maintenance documentation contract, providing operators like Air Algérie with raw data in XML format. This data is seamlessly integrated into the airline’s Maintenance Information System via ‘AMOS,’ a comprehensive solution by Swiss-AS designed to enhance the digitalization of airline maintenance management.
This collaborative three-party effort introduces a cutting-edge service, enabling Air Algérie to achieve time and cost savings while enhancing safety and compliance. The airline will experience accelerated revision processes, expedited and paperless distribution of publications, reduced preparation time for maintenance checks, standardized documentation structure and format, improved information consistency across all aircraft manuals, and automated revision tracking and document control. These enhancements translate to time savings during regulatory audits.
Laid Bouchama, Technical Director of Air Algérie, expressed pride in being the launch customer for this innovative service. He highlighted its potential to streamline daily maintenance procedures, reduce downtime, and increase the fleet’s availability, ultimately benefiting passengers through enhanced service reliability.
