Saudia, the leading Skyteam member, has announced its much-anticipated return to the South African skies with the reopening of reservations for its Jeddah to Johannesburg service. After a hiatus since April 2020, the airline is set to connect these two vibrant cities once again, providing travelers with a convenient and sought-after route.
As per information sourced from the OAG Schedules Analyser and Aeroroutes, Saudia has opened reservations for its Jeddah-Johannesburg service starting from December 1, 2023. The airline plans to offer four weekly flights on this route, utilizing the state-of-the-art Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. This move marks a significant step forward for Saudia as it re-establishes its foothold in the South African market.
The flight schedule for the Jeddah-Johannesburg route is as follows
– SV449: Departure from Jeddah at 01:20, Arrival in Johannesburg at 07:35 (Operates on Tuesday and Friday)
– SV447: Departure from Jeddah at 13:50, Arrival in Johannesburg at 20:05 (Operates on Saturday and Monday)
– SV448: Departure from Johannesburg at 08:50, Arrival in Jeddah at 16:45 (Operates on Tuesday and Friday)
– SV446: Departure from Johannesburg at 21:40, Arrival in Jeddah at 05:35+1 (Operates on Saturday and Monday)
It’s worth noting that the Jeddah-Johannesburg route will be the sole nonstop connection available between Saudi Arabia and South Africa. Reservations are already open for travel between December 1, 2023, and January 29, 2024.
