The launch of the new route was also confirmed at a Travel Agents Forum for Mumbai and Upcoming Routes, which was attended by the airline’s top travel agents and partners, reports our media partner Nigerian Flight Deck.
Air Peace plans to use the launch of the Mumbai route as a stepping stone for further expansion, with plans for routes to Tel Aviv, Malabo, Congo Kinshasa, Lome, and other regional destinations.
Speaking at the forum, the Head of Commercial and Business Development, Mrs Ifeoma Ekwerike, stated that the airline is embarking on an aggressive but strategic route expansion to ease the travel burden of Nigerians and provide more seamless connectivity.
Passengers from Kano, Monrovia, Abuja, Accra, Port Harcourt, and Douala can connect to Mumbai through Lagos, according to the airline.
During the COVID-19 period, Air Peace operated special charter flights to India, and the Chief Pilot, Air Peace, Captain Martin Okunpolor assured passengers that the Indian airspace is not new to the airline.
Air Peace’s Mumbai operations will not only provide Nigerians with a new gateway to India, but also create new business opportunities for both countries.
