Air Côte d’Ivoire, the national airline of Côte d’Ivoire, has once again postponed the launch of its new route between Abidjan and Casablanca.

The airline had initially planned to launch the route on November 2, 2022, but later rescheduled it to January 1, 2023. The new launch date is now set for May 2, 2023.

Air Côte d’Ivoire plans to operate four weekly flights between Abidjan-Félix Houphouët Boigny and Casablanca-Mohammed V airports using Airbus A319 aircraft, which can accommodate 12 passengers in business class and 96 in economy.

The flights will depart Abidjan on Tuesday and Friday at 12:40 pm and Thursday and Sunday at 8:00 am. The return flights from Casablanca will depart on Tuesday and Friday at 8:15 pm and Thursday and Sunday at 3:35 pm.

Air Côte d’Ivoire will compete with Royal Air Maroc on this route. The airline currently operates a fleet of nine aircraft, which includes two A319s, two A320s, one A320neo and four DHAC-8 Q400s. Last October, the airline also ordered two A330-900s.

Air Côte d’Ivoire has continued to expand its network in recent years, with new routes to destinations in West and Central Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
