Love is in the air for Uganda’s national airline Uganda Airlines, which is turning its fleet into a wedding destination for couples after a unique celebration.

The company is offering two wedding packages, the Sky Celebrations and Sky Weddings services – that include either wedding proposals or anniversaries or the ceremonies themselves – all in flight.
Announced at the Bride & Groom Expo in Kampala on July 30, 2022, Uganda’s national airline services will offer “marriage proposals, weddings, wedding anniversaries, bachelor or bachelorette parties” among other festivities, all taking place “at an altitude of 35,000 feet “.
The managing director of Uganda Airlines told New Vision that Sky Celebrations and Sky Weddings are “going from the ordinary way of celebrating relationship milestones to a very unique choice of taking those around you from the ground up to the clouds ”.
“As the company of choice for leisure and business travel”, Uganda Airlines strives to find ” innovative solutions for delightful experiences “, she added.
The Entebbe Airport-based company did not detail the price of these services nor if they are reserved for a particular type of aircraft in its fleet, which currently only has two 258-seat Airbus A330-800s and four 76-seat Mitsubishi CRJ900s.
