Air Belgium last week revised its planned service for South Africa, scheduled to commence in September 2022. The airline will not offer two new connections between Brussels and South Africa at the start of the school year, but only one which passes through Johannesburg and then Cape Town as observed by Aeroroutes from 14SEP22.
As the airline consolidates operation, overall South Africa service will be reduced from 3 to 2 weekly, with Airbus A330-900neo aircraft that can accommodate 30 passengers in Business class. , 21 in Premium and 235 in Economy.
Following schedule effective 30OCT22, the beginning of Northern winter 2022/23 season.

Air Belgium will have no direct competition on these two destinations, which are already offered on departure from Europe by Air France, KLM, Lufthansa or British Airways, among others.
