Air Cairo Eyeing Flights to France

Air Cairo plans to launch three new routes linking Egypt with France.

These flights will link Cairo and Marseille, Luxor, Paris, Lyon and Nantes.

The airline plans to begin the Cairo and Marseille-Provence airport route from November 4, 2022, flying every Friday operated by the Airbus A320 with 174 seats. Air Cairo will be without competition on this route.

Departing from Luxor where the low-cost carrier will land in mid-September (coming from the Egyptian capital with a connection to Malaga), flights to Paris-CDG would begin on Saturday, October 1 indirectly opposite Transavia then the next day to Lyon -Saint Exupéry and Nantes-Atlantique these two cities being combined.

None of these lines was identified by Aeroroute as open for booking at the moment.

Air Cairo is continuing to expand its fleet in the meantime: already having six A320s and four A320neos ( 186 seats ), it is expecting two additional A320s and a first ATR 72-600 in July. According to its press release, it will have 26 aircraft by the end of the year, including twelve A320neo, eight A320 and six 72-600, which will make it “the second largest company in Egypt and the first low cost in Africa.
