Ethiopian Airlines from September 2022 intends to adjust operational routing for selected destinations in West Africa.
The Planned adjustment includes the following flights;
Effective Sep 1, Ethiopian will commence 1X- daily 787-8 flights connecting Addis Ababa – Bamako – Dakar, replacing Addis Ababa – Ouagadougou – Dakar and Addis Ababa – Dakar nonstop flights.
The existing connection involves Addis Ababa – Bamako sector and extends to Dakar.
Meanwhile, the Ethiopian national carrier will increase Addis Ababa – N’Djamena flight offering effective Sep 2, from 4X-weekly to 7X- weekly becoming a terminator flight, meaning the flight will no longer extend to Niamey. Aircraft equipment will also change from 787-8 to 737-700.
However, Ethiopian will serve Addis Ababa – Niamey – Ouagadougou effective Sep 1, with 4X weekly 787-8 flights, replacing Addis Ababa – Ouagadougou – Dakar and Addis Ababa – N’Djamena – Niamey flight offering.
