The lifeless bodies of two men were discovered yesterday, Saturday 4, in the hold of an Air Algérie A330 at Houari-Boumediene International Airport in Algiers .
The Algerian police said in a statement that, “ Two lifeless male bodies, ranging in age from 20 to 23, were discovered on Saturday at 0500 (0400 GMT) in the hold of an Air Algérie airline plane which was stationary on the tarmac at Algiers airport.”
An investigation was opened, according to the press release, which did not specify where the plane came from or where it was going.
According to the local media, the victims were two brothers, from a neighborhood near the airport, who were trying to get to Europe illegally.
The tracking of the Airbus A330, registration 7T-VJB, indicates that the plane performed a rotation between Algiers and Barcelona, Spain, on Friday.
