TUI Airways will launch a new seasonal route next fall between London and Dakar, its first destination in Senegal.
Beginning November 7, 2022, to March 27, 2023, the British subsidiary of the TUI group will offer a flight every Monday between its base in London-Gatwick and Dakar-Blaise Diagne airport, operated by Boeing 737 MAX 8 that can accommodate 189 passengers.
Departures are scheduled at 9:30 a.m. to arrive at 3:40 p.m., with return flights leaving Senegal at 4:40 p.m. to land at 10:55 p.m.
TUI Airways could be in competition on this axis with Air Senegal, which had planned to serve Stansted from June 26, 2020, before the Covid-19 pandemic suspended its plans.
The airline currently operates a fleet of 69 aircraft to nearly one hundred destinations, including three Airbus A320s, leased for the high season and 34 737-800s, 17 of the 51 737-8s ordered, two 767-300ERs, eight 787-8s, and five 787-9 Dreamliners.
