Egyptair has resumed flights from Cairo (CAI) to Mumbai (BOM) after a suspension of more than two years due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The airline announced the service resumption on Monday and will operate the route four times per week onboard 737-800s. This becomes the sole nonstop service between Egypt and India.
This comes as the company embarks on its plan to expand its network, especially in Asia, and resume the operation of routes previously suspended due to the pandemic, as the Star Alliance airline gears to return to normal operating rates of flights.
