Due to the suspension of Flights coming from Nigeria by authorities of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Azman Air has informed its Passengers that all flight operations from Kano to Jeddah are suspended till further notice.
A circular issued by the General Authority of Civil Aviation of Saudi Arabia dated December 8, 2021, stated that all non-citizens with a history of travel to Nigeria would be prevented from entering Saudi.
All passengers affected by this cancellation are to contact their travel agents for adequate advice and more information.
The Management of Azman Air has concluded plans to evacuate all its passengers in Jeddah by the travel advisory laid out by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.
This comes even as African Airlines Association(AFRAA) responded on 03-Dec-2021 to the introduction of “harsh and uncoordinated” travel restrictions against African countries following the discovery of the COVID-19 Omicron variant.
“All countries that have issued unilateral travel restriction should immediately revoke them and instead seek collaborative measures that will address the COVID challenge holistically”.
