Officials confirmed a ground incident between two aircraft at Mozambique’s Pemba Airport on Tuesday, 26 October 2021.
A LAM Mozambique Boeing 737-7Q8 with registration C9-BAR, collided with a parked Lockheed C-130 of the Botswana Defence Force (OM3) while maneuvering on the apron at Pemba Airport, in Mozambique which resulted in temporary interruption of operation.
“LAM Linhas Aéreas de Moçambique informs that one of its aircraft – when it started [Tuesday, 26.10.2021], the access movement to the runway, at Pemba Airport, touched the end of its wing on the end of another aircraft , which motivated the interruption of the operation.”
“While the occurrence assessment procedures were underway, and in compliance with the operational safety procedures, the passengers were invited to disembark, which they proceeded normally.”
