Botswana is welcoming a new luxury airline which is leveraging the country’s tourism potential. Fly Okavango will connect both Europe and the United States directly to Maun in the Okavango Delta, one of Africa’s treasured wilderness areas. It is dubbed the Jewel of the Kalahari
Fly Okavango will operate a Boeing 767-300ER for the planned long-haul routes from continental Europe
“Named in honour of Africa’s heaviest flying bird, the Kori Bustard, our luxury Boeing 767-300ER will carry you in comfort from Munich Germany or Florida Palm Beach, direct to Maun – the safari hub of the Okavango Delta. From Maun you’ll transfer by private scenic flight straight to the first of your 5-star lodges in the heart of the Delta.”
Flights are expected to start November 21 with the B767 offering 96 luxury, lie-flat seats from Munich Germany and Florida Palm Beach, direct to the Okavango Delta. The Service will later include an Airbus A340 that will join the fleet in 2022
“As an optional extra, our flight partner, FliteStar Private Jets, is available to provide a seamless connection service to Munich or Palm Beach from anywhere in Europe or the Americas. And from 2022, we’re excited to introduce our new Airbus A340-500, an ultra-long range VIP wide body, allowing direct flights to Maun from anywhere in the world.”
