Rwandair has been named the official airline carrier for the FIBA Afrobasket 2021 tournament after sealing a partnership with the Rwanda Basketball Federation (Ferwaba)
The FIBA Afrobasket is a continental showpiece event that takes place every 4 years bringing together the continent’s best basketball nations. It is the flagship competition of the International Basketball Federation’s African Regional Office
The latest edition is being hosted by Rwanda from August 24 to September 5 and now with the support of Rwandair who will be offering discounts for everyone travelling to attend the event
RwandAir CEO Yvonne Makolo said : “It is a privilege to support Africa’s senior national teams throughout the FIBA Afrobasket 2021 taking place here in Kigali which we believe will foster talent as the teams compete for the title”
“As a proud African carrier RwandAir is committed to uniting people through sport and championing African talent,” she added.
Ferwaba President, Desire Mugwiza welcomed the partnership and expressed her delight at the event being hosted in Rwanda
