ACC Aviation, a global aviation services group reports it has been appointed by Congo Airways, the national carrier of Congo (DRC), to arrange the financing of its orderbook for 4x E190/E195-E2 aircraft, including on sale and leaseback
In January this year, Embraer confirmed that Congo Airways had made a firm order for two E195-E2s in addition to two E190-E2s ordered six months earlier. The deal has total value of USD 272 Million at list prices.
ACC Aviation has experienced strong growth in 2021 with its consultancy arm seeing 1H revenues shoot up 18% compared with the same period in 2020, and a growth of 33% compared to 2019. The company attributes this to increased activity across aircraft disposal and acquisition, and sale-and-leaseback projects.
A positive outlook for the group is being led by entry to Aviation Finance Advisory.
“The creation this month (July) of a dedicated Aviation Finance Advisory within ACC Aviation, led by Viktor Berta, ex Erste and DVB Bank, leaves us even better placed to support airlines, lessors, lenders and investors with their existing debt and financing options as they navigate through this uncertain climate,” commented ACC Aviation CEO Phil Mathews
ACC Aviation has also listed one of its consulting activities as an “Ongoing engagement by a state-backed financier to develop a business plan for a new regional airline in West Africa”. One to watch!
