Nordic Aviation Capital has announced it has executed a lease agreement for three Embraer E195 aircraft with Airlink.

Airlink, the largest Embraer operator on the African continent has until now had the E190 as the largest aircraft in its fleet, but the market dynamics which saw the collapse of Comair combined with the acceleration of travel demand mean extra capacity is needed in the Southern African market now.

The South African Airline has grown to become one of the biggest operators in Africa and the acquisition of E195 aircraft is an expected next step in its fleet growth.

The Airlink fleet totals 56 aircraft, 50 of those from the Embraer family, including 19 E190s, 3 E170s and 28 E145s
