RwandAir has taken a significant step forward in strengthening its operations on the recently launched direct flights to Paris Charles de Gaulle by appointing Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) as its cargo handling partner.
The recently inaugurated direct service between Paris and Rwanda’s capital, Kigali, operates three non-stop flights a week, facilitated by Airbus A330 aircraft. The introduction of this new route marks a historic moment for RwandAir, as it is the airline’s first-ever direct service to France and represents the 25th destination in its ever-expanding network.
WFS, a renowned global cargo handling service provider, will play a vital role in supporting RwandAir’s cargo operations for this new route. The company will offer comprehensive cargo handling services to RwandAir, extending its support to the airline’s freight forwarding customers as well as its General Sales Agent (GSA) partner in France, Network Airline Services (NAS). With flights departing from Paris CDG on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, RwandAir now provides the sole direct air service connecting the two nations.
During the launch event of the new route, Yvonne Makolo, the CEO of RwandAir, expressed her excitement and pride, stating, “We are excited and proud to celebrate the start of RwandAir’s new three-times-a-week service to Paris from Kigali. We know this fantastic new route to the French capital will prove very popular with our customers.
