ASL Airlines France has inaurated three new routes from Lille to Algeria, further expanding its flight offerings to the country. The airline, which already operates flights to Algiers and Oran, will now provide connections to Bejaïa, Tlemcen, and Sétif, making a total of five destinations in Algeria easily accessible from Lille.
As reported earlier, the inaugural flight to Bejaïa took off on June 26, 2023, marking the beginning of ASL Airlines’ enhanced Algerian services from Lille-Lesquin Airport. The flights to Tlemcen and Sétif are scheduled to commence on June 28 and June 30 respectively. These flights will be operated using single-aisle Boeing 737 aircraft, with seating capacities ranging from 147 to 186 passengers. ASL Airlines France plans to serve these routes until October 30, 2023, with the following weekly flight frequencies
– Algiers: 3 flights per week (Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday)
– Oran: 2 flights per week (Tuesday and Thursday)
– Bejaïa: 2 flights per week (Monday and Wednesday in July and August, then Monday and Thursday for the rest of the season)
– Tlemcen: 1 flight per week (Wednesday)
– Sétif: 1 flight per week (Friday)
ASL Airlines France is the sole French airline offering flights to Algeria from Lille airport, solidifying its presence in the Algerian market and providing passengers from Lille and the surrounding region with new travel options. This expansion puts ASL Airlines France in competition with Air Algérie on routes to Algiers and Oran.
“We are delighted to continue our collaboration with the Lille Airport teams, which began with the establishment of our previous routes to Algiers and Oran. We believe that this fruitful partnership will offer our passengers a unique travel experience to the five Algerian destinations we serve from Lille Airport,” said Jonathan Raimbault, Commercial and Program Director of ASL Airlines France, in a press release.
The launch of these new routes comes as a response to the increasing demand for air travel between Lille and Algeria. ASL Airlines France aims to cater to the needs of business, leisure, and family travelers, providing them with more options and flexibility in their travel plans. With the introduction of these additional connections, ASL Airlines France further strengthens its position as a specialist airline servicing Algeria.
