Continuing to set benchmarks for safety and quality, Air Seychelles has announced the successful renewal of its International Air Transport Association Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) certification, marking the tenth time the airline has achieved this renewal since 2006.
The IOSA program is an internationally recognized evaluation system that assesses the operational management and control systems of an airline. The audit creates a standard that is comparable on a worldwide basis, enabling and maximizing the joint use of audit reports.
The IOSA audit is conducted every two years and is an intensely rigorous and comprehensive evaluation of an airline’s operational and management practices. The audit was conducted in August 2022, and it was the first onsite renewal since the COVID-19 pandemic. The audit was conducted in adherence to health guidelines, with the previous audit being conducted remotely.
Acting Chief Executive Officer Sandy Benoiton commented on the achievement, stating that “safety remains our top priority at Air Seychelles, and this renewed certification is a testament to our dedication and continuous efforts to conform to industry standards. My gratitude goes to my employees for their commitment to the security of our operations.”
The IOSA certification is essential for airlines, as it is a global standard that assures passengers and industry stakeholders that an airline is committed to safety and quality operations.
The renewal of the IOSA certification is a significant milestone for Air Seychelles and a testament to the airline’s commitment to safety and quality operations.
