RwandAir Awards Multi-Year Exclusive Engine Maintenance Contract to Iberia Maintenance

RwandAir has signed a multi-year exclusive contract with Iberia Maintenance to maintain the CFM56-7B and 7BE engines powering its Boeing 737 fleet.

The contract was awarded following a rigorous process, with Iberia Maintenance’s proposal deemed to be “the most competitive, including engine lease, logistics, and customised work scoping utilizing the Spanish company’s engineering expertise.”

Iberia Maintenance’s engine shop in Madrid specializes in CFM56, V2500, and RB211 engines and provides services to a worldwide customer base of airlines, OEMs, and the wider industry.

Andy Best, Iberia Maintenance’s chief technical officer, said, “We are very proud to play a part in [RwandAir’s] continued development. We look forward to working closely with the RwandAir teams ensuring the delivery of a market-leading and differentiated service.”

The partnership between RwandAir and Iberia Maintenance will help the airline to maintain its fleet in top condition and ensure that it continues to provide safe and reliable service to its customers.
