The airline obtained approval for 5th freedom rights for its Manchester-Geneva-Addis Ababa route and will replace Brussels from 30 October a route which it launched in 2018 from UK’s Manchester Airport.

The airline planned to make Addis Ababa-Manchester a non-stop in July 2020, but its plans were shelved due to the COVID pandemic.

The four weekly rotations will be served by the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The flight schedule is as follows:

ET728 GVA 0715-0805 MAN (Tue, Thu, Sat & Sun)
ET729 MAN 1850-2140 GVA (Tue, Thu, Sat & Sun)

Meanwhile, Ethiopian Airlines plans to restore additional service on its Addis Ababa – Johannesburg route from November 1.

The Star Alliance carrier schedules 17 weekly flights, up from the current 14 weekly flights it operates with a mix of B787-8 and Airbus A350.
