Air Côte d’Ivoire will Introduce Flights to Guinea Bissau from Next Month

Air Côte d’Ivoire will launch a new service between Abidjan and Guinea Bissau beginning next month as an extension of that to Dakar.

From May 17, 2022, the Ivorian national carrier will offer three flights per week between its base in Abidjan’s Houphouët Boigny and Bissau’s Osvaldo Vieira airport, operated weekdays by an Airbus A319 (12 seats in Business class, 96 in Economy ) and on the weekends using an A320neo (12 seats in Business class +132 in Economy).

Departures are scheduled for Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday at 7:30 p.m. to arrive at 10:20 p.m. in Dakar and then the next day at 12:15 a.m.; return flights will leave Guinea Bissau on Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday at 6:05 a.m. then Senegal at 8:00 a.m. to land at 10:50 a.m.

These three weekly rotations will be added to the seven already offered between Abidjan and Dakar-Blaise Diagne airport with departures at 11:30 a.m. (arrival at 2:20 p.m.) and returns at 3:10 p.m. (arrival at 6:00 p.m.). An axis where Air Côte d’Ivoire faces Air Senegal and ASKY Airlines, Kenya Airways, and Mauritania Airlines.

Created in 2012, ACI serves the five largest Ivorian airports, around twenty destinations in West and Central Africa, as well as  New York via its codeshare with Ethiopian Airlines.
