Air France KLM Martinair Cargo (AFKLMP) has welcomed Morgan Cargo Limited South Africa and Morgan Cargo Kenya to its sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) program.
Morgan Cargo is the first South African forwarder to sign up for the AFKLMP SAF initiative and is South Africa’s biggest perishable freight forwarding agent, offering a full range of logistics solutions to a wide array of international clients.

Air France KLM Martinair (AFKLMP) Cargo launched the Cargo SAF Programme that enables freight forwarders and shippers to reduce the shipments’ carbon footprint.
Air France KLM Martinair Cargo were among the first airlines to launch a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) programme for cargo in December 2020.
By investing in the Cargo SAF Programme, Morgan Cargo will not only help pioneer the use of SAF in our industry, but will also scale up the SAF market, contributing to a cleaner future for air transport.
This innovative fuel programme is our first step towards a carbon-free future and carbon-neutral growth in our industry, which implies there should be no increase in CO₂ emissions despite traffic growth.
Investing in SAF is a necessary step in this process and one of the primary instruments in reducing CO₂ emissions.
