Zambia’s newly revived national carrier, Zambia Airways has appointed Abiy Asrat Jiru, an Ethiopian, as the new chief executive officer with effect from January 14, 2022. Abiy Asrat Jiru’s contract will keep him at the helm for five years.
Board chairperson Bonaventure Mutale was quick to add that next in line after the new CEO’s tenure would be a Zambian appointment.
