Based on OAG schedules listing, RwandAir and Qatar Airways will launch a reciprocal codeshare partnership on Qatar Airways services to the US allowing their passengers to purchase connecting flights on both airlines.
Beginning 1st Dec 2021, Rwandair will codeshare with Qatar Airways’ US flights connecting Doha and Boston (BOS), Chicago O’Hare (ORD), Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW), Houston (IAH), Los Angeles (LAX), New York J F Kennedy (JFK), Philadelphia (PHL), San Francisco (SFO), Seattle (SEA) and Washington Dulles (IAD).
In October, Airspace Africa highlighted that Qatar Airways had requested the US Transportation Department (DOT) to display RwandAir’s WB code on its flights between Doha and points in the US.
The request was to cover all current and future US-Qatar services operated by Qatar Airways but it seems RwandAir will only codeshare ten of Qatar Airways US Flights.
The Rwandan flag carrier is also expected to launch new non-stop flights between their Kigali hub and Doha in 1, Dec.
